Straightforward Casa does not collect rent, hold security deposits, manage client money, or act as a letting agent in any capacity. We are a property listing and lead-generation marketplace only.

What Straightforward Casa Does

  • Provides an online platform for landlords to advertise rental properties.
  • Allows tenants to browse listings and send enquiries directly to landlords.
  • Delivers a subscription-based CRM and listing management tool for landlords.

What Straightforward Casa Does NOT Do

  • Collect rent payments on behalf of landlords or tenants.
  • Hold, protect, or return security deposits.
  • Handle any client money or act as a custodian of funds.
  • Enter into tenancy agreements or act as a party to any tenancy.
  • Provide legal, financial, or tenancy advice.
  • Conduct referencing, credit checks, or right-to-rent verifications.

Landlord and Tenant Responsibilities

All negotiations, contracts, payments, deposits, and legal obligations under a tenancy are entirely between the landlord and tenant. Both parties should seek independent legal advice as appropriate. Landlords are responsible for complying with all applicable UK housing legislation.

Regulatory Status

Straightforward Casa is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). We are not a member of a property redress scheme as we do not carry out estate agency work as defined by the Estate Agents Act 1979.
